      大家都应该听说过Casino Group(在全球运营的法国大型零售商),因为你们都至少应该在它的其中一个商店购物过。但是或许你们没有注意到它的经理人也提供特别会展餐饮服务。

       Joris Hamonet作为2012级瓦岱勒学生向我们介绍了这种服务,如今他已成为Saveurs d’Evenements公司的销售经理。

       在这个新的成功故事中,我们会讲述一个迷茫的高中生是如何转变成一个自信学生的故事,如今他已成为一名非常令人满意的专业人士和瓦岱勒人标杆。

       一个迷茫的高中生
     “当我在蒙彼利埃(Montpellier)举行的学生论坛上见到了尼姆校区招生负责人Elisabeth Cres和一名瓦岱勒学生之后,我于2009年进入瓦岱勒学习。他们向我介绍了瓦岱勒以及国际酒店行业中的所有有趣的工作。那时,我还不知道自己未来想做什么。由于我喜欢创造、创新,突然间特别会展管理工作引起了我的兴趣。”

       一个变得更加成熟并不断提升专业技能的学生
     “如今,我正在特别会展管理领域工作,瓦岱勒使我受益良多,多亏了理论课程/酒店和餐厅以及实习当中的实践应用使我变得更加成熟。高中毕业那时事实上我们仍然还是孩子。但是当你在餐厅如瓦岱勒温泉酒店(Vatel Hotel & Spa)的餐厅或Vatel Brasserie餐厅工作时,你毫无选择只能非常负责、严苛并百分百投入到工作当中。”

       经验丰富的专业人士
     “如今,我是一名销售经理,你可以说这多亏了之前教授我行业、销售和顾客服务知识的两位教授。”

     “就在毕业前几天,我开始在Saveurs d’Evenements接受内部培训,因为我已经被聘用了。后来我通过真正从事销售代表的工作了解到了一个餐饮供应商的职能,以及Casino Group集团是多么的庞大。如今,我在蒙彼利埃(Montpellier)工作,我带着第一天开始工作时同样的热情,在法国南部整个朗格多克-鲁西永(Languedoc Roussillon)地区工作。”

       我的工作包括开发各种活动,以及赢得我们现有客户的客户忠诚度。我们公司提供三种业务:

       失败不算什么,它应该是促使你不断尝试的动力。当你没有获得你自己期望的工作时,这并不意味着你应该放弃;相反,这意味着你应该继续尝试。当我面试见到我现在的经理时,我就知道已经有和我申请同样职位的人士在为Casino Group工作了。但是我仍然去面试了,并说服他们我才是最适合这份工作的人,没有人能够阻止我获得聘用!

       我的目标总是定的很高,我喜欢继续在集团内不断攀爬企业晋升阶梯,所以我为什么不成为一个关键客户销售经理或现场经理呢。

       我的五年计划是在蒙彼利埃创立自己的餐饮公司,随后扩展到巴黎,之后走向国际。

       最后,我想说瓦岱勒为我们提供了开启职业生涯的所有工具。之后,就全靠我们自己了,靠我们的雄心壮志和动力迈出第一步。

       再次强调,你们应该志向高远,你们要做的就是把工作做好并相信自己!

Everyone has heard of Casino Group, because they’ve shopped in at least one of its stores. But perhaps you are not all aware that its managers also offer special events catering services.

In any case, Joris Hamonet is here to present them to us as a Vatelien, class of 2012, and he is already the Sales Manager of their company, “Saveurs d’Evenements”.

In this new Success Story, we’ll tell you about a high school student who was unsure of himself and changed into a student with a “can do” attitude, and who today is a fully satisfied professional as well as a Benchmark Vatelien.


A high school student unsure of himself


“I enrolled in Vatel in 2009 after having met Elisabeth Cres, the Nimes Admissions Officer and a Vatel student in a Student Forum that took place in Montpellier. They both told me about Vatel as well as all the interesting jobs there were in the international hospitality industry.  At that time, I had no idea whatsoever about what I wanted to do in the future. Right away, the Special Events managerial job really interested me, as I love creating, innovating and having a bit of leeway and choice in what I’m doing.”


A student who becomes more mature and hones his professional project


“Today I’m working in Special Events Management and that’s partly due to Vatel, as the School helped me to become more mature thanks to its theoretical courses/practical application balance in hotels and restaurants as well as my internships. When we graduate from high school, we're still kids actually, and when you're working in a restaurant like in the Vatel Hotel & Spa, or in the Vatel Brasserie, you have no other choice than to become responsible, demanding and to embrace a project 100%.


A seasoned professional


“Now I’m a Sales Manager, and you can say that this is thanks to two of my former professors who taught me about the universe of trade, sales and customer services.

Just a few days before graduation, I started internal training in Saveurs d’Evenements, as I had already been hired. So I found out by actually working about what Sales reps do, what a caterer does and how big Casino Group actually is. Today I’m based in Montpellier and I work all over the Languedoc Roussillon region in the south of France with the same motivation I had the first day I started work.

My job consists in developing our activity as well as gaining customer loyalty with our current customers. Our company has three distinct activities:


- Delivering meal trays to companies, associations and municipalities with a range of 24 different products;
- Customized catering for cocktails, buffets or meals;
- Catering to sporting events such as the Roc d’Azur, the Tour de France bicycle race, the Tour de France sailing race, the Toulon Rugby Club, etc.

I work in the catering subsidiary of Casino Group. And you should know that way back in 1967, Casino invented the concept of self-service for meals and anticipated the changes in the way French people would be having lunch or dinner. Drawing on the success of the first cafeteria opened in Saint-Etienne, Casino Restauration was able to expand and diversify while remaining true to its values: a never-ending demanding spirit and willingness to anticipate market expectations in the field of restaurants and catering services. Ever since it was founded, Casino Restauration has been dynamic in order to create and design an inventive way of having meals outside of the home, responding to new ways of consuming. Casino Restauration is the only player you can find on nearly every segment of the Restaurant and Catering market.”

A “Benchmark Vatelien”


I can tell that you should never give up. Our professional ambitions should have no limits at all. When you give yourself the resources, you can create your own professional lives and meet the goals you set for yourself.

Failure is no big deal and should be something that motivates you to keep on trying. When you don’t get the job you hoped for, that doesn’t mean you should give up; on the contrary, it means that you should continue. The day that I met my national manager for my job interview, I already knew that there was someone already working for Casino Group who had applied for the same job I did. I went anyway, persuaded that this job was for me, and no one else whatsoever was going to keep me from being hired!

With the goal of always aiming higher, I’d like to continue climbing the corporate ladder for a while in the Group and why not be a Key Accounts Sales Manager or Site Manager.


My five-year plan is to launch my own catering company in Montpellier, then expand into Paris, and then go international.

And to conclude, I’d just like to say that Vatel gives us all the tools we need to start our professional careers. Then it’s up to us, our ambition and motivation, to take the first steps.

Once again, your ambitions should be sky-high, you just have to do your job well and believe in yourselves”.
